"Why should I buy the PSPEC kit for over $200.00 when I can get the X-brand adapter for $75.00-$100.00?"

The PSPEC kit is not an adapter! It is a complete replacement shifter kit. When you buy short shifter adapter, you are only getting 1 piece of custom machined aluminum and some set screws. Each PSPEC kit comes with 9 pieces of custom machined aluminum and 3 pieces of custom machined stainless steel. The kits are designed and machined in the USA. All the hardware included in the kit is stainless steel. We take pride in what we make and the manufacturing tolerances are held within the thousandths of an inch.


"How much does the PSPEC shifter reduce the throw by?"

The PSPEC shifter has [ 4 ] throw settings. The lowest throw setting is slightly shorter throw than stock. The highest throw setting is about 50% shorter than stock. The throw settings are evenly spaced out. The height setting of the shifter also effects throw. There are [ 6 ] height settings. Nearly any height setting can be matched with any throw setting. It is recommended that you find a Throw/Height combo that suites your driving style.


"Can the factory shift-knob be used with the PSPEC shifter kit?"

Yes all PSPEC shifters use M10 X 1.5mm threads which are standard on all manual Hondas


"Can the factory shift-boot be used with the PSPEC shifter kit?"

Yes the factory shift-boot can be used with the PSPEC shifter kit. If you plan to use an aftermarket shift-knob, it is recommended that you use the optional PSPEC shift-boot collar. The optional shift-boot collar is included with every kit.


"What is the PSPEC shift-boot collar?"

The PSPEC shift-boot collar replaces your factory shift-boot collar and makes a clean install when using an aftermarket knob. The factory knob is designed to clip into your factory shift-boot collar and when you replace your knob, the collar just hangs. The PSPEC shift-boot collar is machined to fit the PSPEC shifter and is held tightly in place with an O-ring.
